This 20-cent commemorative stamp was issued on January 30, 1982, in Hyde Park, New York, to mark the 100th anniversary of Franklin D. Roosevelt's birth. Known as the 32nd President of the United States and an avid stamp collector, Roosevelt was involved in the issuance of over 200 stamps during his presidency. This stamp features a smiling portrait of Roosevelt, printed in blue using the engraving method by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Approximately 163,939,200 stamps were issued.
